Sales Specialist - Hudson store

We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our team as the Sales Specialist for our Hudson, Wisconsin location.  This is a full-time position with benefits.

Summary

The Equipment Sales Specialist is a highly visible company representative who is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships while increasing sales and market share within an assigned territory.  This is a full-time position that is based in our Hudson, WI location.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sell Tri-State Bobcat’s complete product offering to prospective and established customers.

  • Develop and maintain “expert” level knowledge of our entire product line as well as that of our competitors.

  • Actively seek out, identify, and qualify new leads and prospects.

  • Regularly contact existing and prospective customers in order to develop rapport, build trust, understand the customer’s business, and discover potential sales opportunities.

  • Use in-depth equipment, industry, and customer knowledge to assess customer needs and determine the best equipment and/or attachment solution.

  • Prepare and professionally present equipment solutions to customers and/or prospects via effective sales presentations that include product demos, customer testimonials, feature/benefit analysis, cost/benefit analysis, potential productivity/profitability increases, and financing options.

  • Effectively present price quotes, overcome objections, negotiate terms, and close sales.

  • Complete all required forms and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Follow up with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction and reinforce our support offerings (parts, service, and rental).

  • Effectively participate as part of the team, assisting when appropriate and requesting assistance when needed.  Work with all other departments to ensure customer loyalty.

  • Continually develop sales skills and techniques.

  • Ensure that all sales activities are performed in accordance with company, vendor, and customer policies and procedures.

  • Attend training and sales meetings as required.

  • Maintain accurate records of auto expense/mileage and personally incurred expenses.

  • Perform other tasks or duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Experience: 2 or more years of successful compact construction, heavy equipment, and/or agricultural equipment sales experience.

Education: High School Diploma required.  Four year college degree preferred.

Knowledge / Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to multi-task and function accurately at a fast pace, computer skills, problem solving ability, mechanical aptitude, superior customer service skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and manage time effectively without close supervision.

Physical abilities: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (6-8 hours per day), occasionally lift up to 75 lbs., safely operate a skid-steer loader and other light construction equipment, operate standard office equipment, and travel extensively within the assigned territory via company vehicle.

Other: Must live in Wisconsin, have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
