Parts Manager - Little
Canada store
We are looking for an outstanding individual to be the Parts Manager
for our Little Canada, MN location. This is a full-time job
with benefits.
Summary:
The Parts Manager is
a highly visible company representative who is responsible for
ensuring the profitable operations of the parts department in
accordance with company rules, policies and procedures. The
job is a multifaceted position that combines elements of customer
service, warehousing, sales, accounting, purchasing, human resources
and general management.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:

Plan and direct
the day-to-day operations of the parts department.

Develop and
implement strategies to improve customer service, drive store
sales, and increase profitability.

Ensure that
customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is
quick and efficient.

Ensure that all
products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize
sales and profitability.

Maintain store
appearance and product presentation to company standards.

Ensure that
department sales, financial, operational and administrative goals
are achieved.

Forecast staffing
needs and schedule personnel accordingly.

Lead and direct
the work of parts department staff (2 direct reports).

Stock and manage
parts inventory to achieve maximum availability and turns.

Assume sole
responsibility for the accuracy and accountability of the parts
inventory.

Ensure that parts
department activities are performed in accordance with company,
vendor and customer policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
Experience:
At least one year of successful management experience and 6 months
of retail or wholesale parts experience.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Some college or technical
school preferred.
Skills:
Strong verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task and
function accurately at a fast pace under pressure, strong computer
skills, problem solving ability, mechanical aptitude, superior
customer service skills, attention to detail, ability to interpret
and understand parts diagrams and electrical/hydraulic schematics.
Physical
abilities: Stand for extended periods of time (6-8 hours per
day), occasionally lift up to 100 lbs., safely operate a skid-steer
loader and other light construction equipment, operate standard
office equipment.
